One Month into Blogging: What Was It Really Like?

One month into blogging, and here I am, navigating the vast expanse of the digital universe from my own little corner, therisingmom.com. Launching a website might not be the same as launching a rocket, but at times, it sure feels close – especially with the ups, downs, and “why-isn’t-it-taking-off” moments.

Blogging has its perks, especially when you’re just one month into blogging. It’s been the best thing I’ve embarked on – a close second to deciphering those IKEA furniture instructions. My site dives deep into the wonders and woes of being a working mom, finding balance while juggling, quite literally, everything and getting the true essence of life as an expat.

One month into blogging, I quickly realized the freedom it grants. I get to rule my digital domain. But every kingdom has its challenges. Waiting for that surge in website traffic feels a lot like waiting for my toddlers to dress themselves. Patience? Check.

SEO, Pinterest pins, enlightening tips, and tricks; it’s been a whirlwind. One month into blogging, and the learning curve feels more like a rollercoaster. I’ve sipped (more like chugged) endless cups of coffee while diving into YouTube tutorials and Google articles. Yet the bustling traffic remains a dream. To invest in traffic-boosting services or not? That’s the million-dollar (or maybe just a few bucks) question.

But let me tell you, one month into blogging has taught me a lot more than just web logistics. I’ve discovered the art and essence of self-care, mindfulness, and meditation – something that took me three decades despite having a yoga mom.

As I wrap up my reflections, one month into blogging, I feel like I’m at the start of a grand adventure. There’s so much more road to travel, tales to tell, and tips to share. If you’re here reading this, you’re a part of this journey. And I can’t wait to see where we’ll be when I’m two months into blogging and beyond!
